Cape May Haul
Tuesday, December 22, 2015
I mentioned in my last blog post that I did a little bit of shopping while in Cape May. They had the most charming little shops there, and an AMAZING flea market called the West End Garage, where they had all of these cool hand-made and vintage items. While walking around, I couldn't help myself, and bought a couple of cute little bits.
1. I bought this little white and turquoise tea cup with gold trim. But, what I found special about this cup was how it had almost a pearl-like quality. The only way I can really describe it is the inside of a shell, and how it catches the light. That little feature really sealed the deal for me because it will now always remind me my fun time at the beach.
2. The second item I bought was this awesome mug with these delicate watercolor octopuses; along with cute blue polka dots on the interior. This mug is a little bit strange, but I love it so much. Just looking at this mug gives me so much joy, and I don't really even know why.
3. The finale goes to these ity-bity, teeny-tiny fake plants that I bought from what I believe was a Scandinavian shop on the promenade. There are two things I love in this world: fake plants, and non-proportionate things. So, as you would expect, I almost screamed when I came across a shelf full of microscopic fake plants. I was able to reign myself in, and allowed myself to buy only two because a) they were $4 a pop and b) while they are ADORABLE, I'm not really sure where I would manage to store 600 fake plants in my small 10x11ft room.
Well that's it! I didn't do too much damage, but I am very pleased with all the things I got, and will cherish them for a very long time.
Thanks for reading!
